Flight and choice are the core themes of this film.

😈 Sarcastic Review
If you’re a die-hard fan of the Venom franchise, this movie might satisfy your final expectations. Tom Hardy still delivers a remarkable “schizophrenic” performance, playing two characters without any sense of incongruity. Eddie’s anxiety and Venom’s quirkiness form a奇妙化学反应 on him.
Tom Hardy’s acting is the only anchor of stability in this film.
However, the plot can only be described as “unremarkable.” The mysterious military man feels like a villain template borrowed directly from the Obsidian set, with vague motivations and single-dimensional methods, offering no real suspense to the audience. The appearance of alien monsters is more like a clumsy tribute to the Alien franchise - aside from decent visual effects, they have no distinctive features.
The flatness of the antagonists is the film’s biggest flaw.
Director Kelly Marcel spares no effort in visual presentation - Venom’s various shape-shifting remains a feast for the eyes. Those shots of black slime stretching, morphing, and enveloping human bodies still deliver powerful visual impact. The action sequences are also compact and exciting, with car chases, brawls, and explosions all present.
Visual effects are the only highlight of this movie.
But the problem is that beneath this gorgeous exterior lies an empty narrative core. The development of Eddie and Venom’s relationship has barely moved forward; their “inner dialogues” have carried from the first film to the third, and the humo

The franchise has clearly shown creative exhaustion at this point.
The film’s attempted themes of “symbiosis” and “independence” could have been explored much deeper, but they were diluted to nothing by constant action sequences. The final choice moment comes too suddenly and passes too quickly - the audience doesn’t even have time to understand the character’s inner struggle before everything ends.
The superficial treatment of themes is the biggest regret.
In summary, Venom: The Last Dance is a typical “popcorn movie” - entertaining while watching, but completely forgettable afterward. If you’re just looking for visual stimulation, this work won’t disappoint you; but if you expect any degree of plot depth or emotional resonance, it’s best to look elsewhere.
This is destined to be an entertainment product you watch and forget.
