Gollum — A Tragic Soul#

Andy Serkis’ Gollum is the film’s greatest revelation. This entirely motion-capture created character delivers cinema’s most complex and dimensional CGI performance. The Battle of Helm’s Deep is one of cinema’s greatest war sequences. In pitch darkness, thousands of Uruk-hai assault Rohan’s last stronghold. Peter Jackson uses epic cinematography to portray war’s brutality and heroes’ valor.
